As an approach to overcome environmental limits of the previous soundproof walls, moreover, as a fundamental study to develop innovative technology of Traffic Noise Reduction using ANC (Active Noise Control), this study was conducted to analyze the Technical Trends and the Patent Trends of Active Noise Control in recent national and international researches. As a result of ANC technical trends, there are lots of academic works about ANC in domestic research, but the applications of practical use are still insufficient; only a few car companies are exploring the new potential. In abroad, based on advanced ANC scientific know-how in recent times, studies of Indoor-Noise-Source Control are being conducted lively, using Active Noise Barrier. To lessen Traffic Noise, both the level of technical improvements of Active Noise Control (ANC) & Passive Noise Control (PNC) and the applying for patents are achieved almost at the same time. It is considered that only one part of the Noise Control methods has limits to trim down Traffic Noise; ANC is likely to be weak on decreasing a High Frequency Noise, and PNC is likely to be poor at decreasing a Low Frequency Noise. Therefore, to maximize of Traffic Noise Reduction, it is urgently necessary to promote technologies of Electronic Sound Proof Barrier System which are able to block off the noise from a Low Frequency as well as a High Frequency Bands with effective ways, by applying of suitable combing both ANC and PNC within environmentally outstanding methodological knowledge. |
