The energy consumption in building in Korea take over 24%, especially the residential building occupies 54% of them. Therefore the energy reduction of housing is very urgent for the national energy efficiency. In Korea, two energy rating systems have been initiated called "Building Energy Rating System", and "Green-Home Construction Criteria and Performance". Futhermore "Housing Performance Indicator System" and "Green Building Certification Criteria" also evaluate the energy performance as an important assessment item. However there are problems because the rating systems are sometimes overlapped each other.
