This study, through synthesizing the cultural assets protection policy and urban planning process, aims to improve land-use and building control in the surrounding area near the historical monuments. Focused on the cultural assets of Gyeonggi Province, we classify cultural assets into six categories through clustering analysis according to the conditions of location, which are cultrual asset protection area and distance to the urban area. In addition, we inquire into the deliberation system controlling the surrounding area near the cultural assets, Cultural Properties Protection Law and the other laws related with building control system around historical place. We propose comprehensive management of the buildings in the area where the urban planning control are overlapped into the cultural asset protection control, according to the types of cultural assets. We also suggest that the land-use and building control system around historical place need to be urban planning process such as urban master planning, zonning and urban design. |
