A boundary in architecture means 'a point of contact between two territories', too, and, at the same time, it functions to limit a space. However, the original meaning of boundary becomes weaker in modern architecture. Those phenomena such as mixing of programs, development of interactive space, combination of fields outside of architecture and architecture have given characteristics like ambiguity, decentering to the boundary in architecture and made differences in people's patterns of behavior. Difference in patterns of behavior means difference in recognition as well. Therefore, in this study, it has the object to analyze such recognitive characteristics shown in boundary through case analysis of boundary being different shown in modern architecture and to draw the affordance applicable to architecture for th application to the design. |
