A document research method was used to analyze and classified the spatial characteristics and a questionaire-survey for their preferences. This paper suggests shared housing as an alternative to the housing problems for one person household. Shared housing are economical and efficient housing type that can also guarantee privacy and lower the rent by sharing the space. Nevertheless, the current regulations on single family housing are rather inadequate and only some student housings offer the facilities that meet the standards.
