The purpose of this study was to suggest a plan of urban type congregate housing for one-person households increasing. This will provide various designs to give more options and expanded community facilities that should ensure connectedness between residents. The main method adopted this study were literature analysis and case study. The literature analysis was to know characteristics, research trends, current states of urban type congregate housing, and the case study to extract main elements to apply housing plan. This research was based on urban type congregate housing and was planned according to the standard of studio measurements which should be an area of 50㎡ and below. For the case study, 8 cases of urban type congregate housing in domestic and oversea areas were selected and analyzed according to the studio standards, which were then noted in architecture, interior and furniture categories, and community facilities. The results from this research are as follows: 1) In domestic cases, the plans are composed of standard types. On the other hand, oversea cases provide various designs. 2) Some oversea cases have specialized spaces as in each type. So it gives more opportunities to select housing. 3) Oversea cases have more expanding community facilities than that of the domestic cases. Through the research, main elements were extracted to apply in domestic housing, and suggested housing plan. |
