The purpose of this study is to make a proposal on the planning of the back-to-farming village. For the study, a community village of the residents' own design and construction gave information on the residents' participation, the role of coordinator and the characteristics of respective housing. The community village studied here is located at Sannae-myeon, Namwon-city in Jeonbuk-do. The members of the Indraman Community participated most in creating the village, and interviews were answered by 16 households and a process coordinator who led a major role in organizing and educating applicants. The results are as followings. 1) The process coordinator participated in the project on the design of village, permission documentation, and construction from the beginning. The coordinator and residents met every month, and discussed the respective housing and the village environment regulation. The coordinator, who took charge on the planning of the village, contributed to enhancing residents' common consciousness and helping their stable settlement. 2) Every house has its own plan, but the archi- tectural coordinator's counseling and coordination in the planning process resulted in higher participation and sense of possession of residents. The individual housing needs was a prior consideration in the village planning, so that the residents answered very satisfied with their own houses. |
