In this study, three elderly residents living in the target, behavior in the resident's household used to identify and analyze the problem and subsequent placement and design of furniture by applying the principles of universal design was to explore ways to improve. Largely, theoretical study and case studies have been done to. That for the elderly, universal design and studies have been concerning living room was performed as a preliminary study. Research methods that living with the elderly in metropolitan eight households as the target, visits and observation of households were surveyed. Survey tools are applying universal design checklist and a survey of residents and the target was accompanied on the interview.
