The relationship between spectator and exhibition area at a museum starts from the relationship of trying to store relics, exhibit and watch. The museum has to satisfy the viewing desire of spectator by securing a good looking visual environment for spectators visiting the museum while having to exhibit with the lighting that does not cause damages to relics. The meaning for existence of museum in modern times is highlighting the educational value from the exhibition of display and storage. If it is unable to provide an effective visual environment under such formation of environment, the exhibition effect will be reduced by half. Especially, the important thing between exhibition of museum and spectator is forming a suitable visual environment for the nature and value of work in exhibition program and expression method at the exhibition area to make the spectators concentrate on encountering the work and gaining information. Accordingly, this study has investigated the illumination and brightness distribution on the viewing traffic flow inside the museum exhibition area targeting Busan Museum, Kimhae Museum and Daegu Museum in order to prepare as basic research material for forming a pleasant visual environment for spectators at museum which is a public facility while recognizing the fact empirical studies on visual perception factor is lacking in terms of museums. |
