They are built by standards of Korean wood construction「the Ying Zao Fa Shih」(營造法式). This study is focused on clarifying the differences of「the Ying Zao Fa Shih」applied to adoption of timber structure methods and members in constructing Kangwha Korean-style catholic churches with clerestory. We recognize that purlin of Kangwha Anglican Church is lower located than standards of 「the Ying Zao Fa Shih」, so the roof has enough slant to it than ordinary traditional methods. Due to that reason, the roof style is externally equivalent to a government office rather than a royal palace.
