The column-beam connections are very important in steel structure buildings, and have direct effect on safety and economic efficiency of the buildings. Especially, they must have rigidity and ductility that are necessary for movement and stress transmission of buildings. And it is also needed for them to carry the ability of strength and strain with easy construction. The design and analysis of steel structure connections are generally considered to consist of rigid, semi-rigid or pin joint. However, it is fact that economic design and structural safety are not applied in practical buildings because the column-beam connections are affected to some degree by transmission of moment and rotation. Thus at this research, we tested the newly Reformed T-stub connection which is similar to semi-rigid joint. The specimens are loaded with variables of the length of overhang. The conclusions of research are summarized as follows. 1) The leverage effect of the tensile connection did not happen. 2) The wider the space of the high tensile bolt is, the lower the ultimate load is. 3) The diameter of the bolt does not influenced on the ultimate load and strain. 4) It is necessary that we should find a proper measure to take care of slip phenomenon of the connect caused by repeated load. |
