Sliding window which have used at residential buildings was more difficult to achieve the tightness than other type window such as swing, project, aand tilt&turn ones. The airtightness improvement of the sliding window will be a great help in increasing the indoor thermal performances. Few detailed study on the performance difference results of sliding window between lab test and field test has been presented. In this paper we choose two kinds of sliding window, the standard one and the developed one, which are installed in general, and discuss the airtightness performance and the cold draft using blower door system.
