Gamcheon 2 Dong, the so-called Taegeukdo villege in Saha-Gu, Busan, was formed as a religious community in late 1950s and early 1960s after Korean War. After the war, the believers of Taegeukdo in Busan who were the refugees from all over the country constructed their own collective migration village alongside the hilly area in Gamcheon 2 Dong. The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the village through the literature review, aerial photograph analysis, site survey and in-depth interview with the local people. |
