If window ratio could be decreased, we offer a various window types and positions, could be also provided for the effect of daylighting. So the purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of daylighting according to window types and positions in office buildings. Ecotect is employed to simulate daylighting effect when the ratio of window areas 50% and 100% for comparison. It is found that maximum daylighting factor reaches 10% in perimeter zone when the ratio of window is 100%, whereas it is 5.6% and overall daylighting factor 2-5%(optimum levels) when it is 50%. Eventually, it might be concluded daylighting performance is more efficient when the ration of window area is 50% than 100% |
