Urban form is determined due to development of various space utilization highlighting the local characteristics. Recently, development of leisure space has been emphasized more than any other features for the configuration of the city form. However, leisure space in urban areas is often not used actually because leisure space is supplied without consideration of demand or preference. Accordingly, this study examined the types of leisure activities and preference of leisure space on weekdays and weekends of Busan residents, and empirically analyzed the determinants of leisure satisfaction by using Ordinal Logit Model. By doing this, it is expected that the leisure preference and the satisfaction determinants of leisure spaces that Busan residents actually need, are identified. The aim of this study is to suggest the development direction of future leisure space. As a result of ordinal logit model for leisure satisfaction, it shows that Busan citizens enjoy current leisure primarily in the complex leisure space, but future development needs for natural recreation areas are also increasing. Accordingly, recreational facilities and recreational space should be expanded with the sufficient consideration of the actual demand for recreational space. |
