This research was to re-interpretate of Korea modern brick buildings by the comparison between the election of frame and brick-layering. Also it is to find the possibility of a new Hanok which was constructed by Bricks and woods. In Korea, Brick has been used to build towers, tombs, castles, chimneys, etc., but they were not activity used for constructing residences until wes tern culture began to influence the nation. The introduction of brick buildings played a critical role in the development of modern architecture techniques in Korea. In th is since, it is very significant to see how bricks have been used in buildings and changes undergone since 1876. This research is of considerable significance in that it serves as a venue where we can appreciates the beauty and value of brick buildings and explore their future possibilities through modern architecture. |
