This study is on the rearrangement of the standardization of classification and terminological system which are in chaotic state in theater architecture especially concerned with floor plan and the purpose of the study is also to help the establishment of early planning conditions in theater building projects. The results of consideration are as folllows : The term, theater is generally used to describe various kinds of performing hall not only in domestic but Japan, Europe and United States. By the shapes of auditorium, theater architecture can be classified as horse shoe type, megaphone type, shoe box type, vineyard type, circle type, balcony type, fan type and sledge type. Theater architecture also can be classified extra small size(less than 200seats), small size(200-499seats), medium size(500-999seats) large size(1000- 1999seats) and extra large size(2000-2999seats) super large size(more than 3000seats) by capacity of auditorium. |
