Following the post-modern era, the digital revolution is no longer the world of engineering in not limited. The digital revolution was born the field of digital architecture. Afterward, digital architecture met a virtual theory. But shows the limits of digital architecture with virtual space. In this regards, in an attempt to find a solution to this issue, this study is designed to analyze spatial characteristics of public facilities of architect Ito Toyo well expressing regional features of Japan on the basis of modern and contemporary architect education. In methodology, we laid a framework for the analysis using definitions of wall and column as a basis of space construction, thereby identifying the characteristics of the wall structure of his architecture and examining the production and characteristics of virtual space. To conclude, building public facilities requires virtual space, and there are various approaches to it, which can be used as a new architecture design method. |
