In this research, the physical and mechanical experiment for examining fundamental properties of oil compound lime used for building palaces and upper class housings in Joseon dynasty and securing its quantitative source according to the historically investigated mixing ratio to analyze the possibility to apply it to the contemporary buildings. The experimental method is, according to the current Specification of Properties and field mixing ratio, through slaking quicklime, to mix mechanically the material with the ameliorated perilla oil and pulp fiber by KS L ISO 679. According to size of the test surface, they were shaped-processed and air-dry-cured. The tests of coagulation, strength, drying shrinking strain test, contact angle and texture analysis were conducted and the result shows it may be applied to reconstruction and repair for the existing buildings with these objectified information by the experiment. However, it should be improved in order to be applied to the contemporary architecture as eco-friendly structural material such as longer setting time, strength improvement and constriction and deformation prevention. To accomplish the goal it requires to graft traditional material onto new eco-friendly material. |
