The specular reflection with the high rise curtain wall has bad impact on the problems that the health of eye, the perspective of view in the modern architecture. The specular reflection of sun light can occur at the curtain wall constructed with high reflection material, it is a cause of the disability glare on the neighborhood. The mechanism of specular reflection is that the light from a single incoming direction is reflected into a single outgoing direction, and sun moves on the path of sun during daytime as well as during four seasons. Therefore, the variation of disability glare depends on the path of sun as well as the shapes of building. Especially, a long time disability glare can occur on the curved curtain wall rather than the plane type curtain wall. This research aim is to present that the evaluation method on the disability glare due to the specular reflection of curved curtain wall. The research established qualitative and quantitative evaluation method on the disability glare through it conducts both a measurement of illuminance with the illuminance meter for the real building which have a curved curtain wall, and the computational simulation with RADIANCE V1.02 for the building and the modeling area. It will contribute the reduction of disability glare through the research propose the method on the architect, the design professional and the other people concerned disability glare in the curved curtain wall. |
