Social changes that attach importance to diversification have led to the emphasis of human-centered values. In spatial environment as well, human emotional and psychological satisfaction has emerged as important standards. As space came to be recognized as relations of interaction with users, not functional environment any more, its emotional aspects have stood out in relief. Storytelling is approaching people in various ways to stimulate and satisfy their emotions. In this, objets can be mentioned as media giving a stimulus in space, for objets have various types of expression and have flexible characteristics that can change in more endless way than any other component of space. That is, space of storytelling will be more emphasized by means of objets, which will provide more help to the creation of space for emotional satisfaction. He introduced storytelling into space in his own way; and pursued designs beyond functionalism, which made users feel dreams and fantasies in daily life through ordinary and empirical concepts. He delivers storytelling to users by developing designs of visual and functional expressive characteristics using diverse methods for expressing objets. Therefore, the interior design of Marcel Wanders’ works, and the expressive characteristics of storytelling using object were analyzed in this study. |
