Due to being faced with climate change and increasing impervious area, Low Impact Development (LID) which was presented by the U.S. Environmental Department is recommended as a sustainable solution of storm water management for adapting climate change. In Germany, LID has already been applied and South Korea has an interest in LID as well, but the nation won’t be able to get a beneficial effect when directly reflecting foreign technology without considering any land use characteristics and climatic conditions. Therefore, in this study, the targeted residential areas with plans of redevelopment, were analyzed via runoff reduction effectiveness of LID practices, specifically with places of green roofs and permeable paver, displaying under changing daily precipitation during the wet season. Simulation results in the entire 30-year period from 2011 to 2100 were suggested using precipitation data from RCP8.5 climate change scenario in a more precise resolution than the earlier version, which was created by the Korea meteorological administration. The results showed that the LID-applied site would provide reduction of total runoff compared to the pre-applied site. |
