The results show that increasing flow rate in the secondary side of DHS decreases energy consumption and time to reach set-point of the heated room. The major finding for this effect is that when flow rate increases the overall heat transfer rate of radiant floor also increases. However, the results also show that the overall heat transfer rate is not lineally increased. So, this results show that there is an optimal flow rate for the secondary side of DHS. So, a further study should be conducted on heat flux rate changes with various flow rate in the radiant floor. It is also understood that the control of the radiant floor with hot water could be done more effectively with a combined control strategy including heat flux and temperature set-point.
