This study aims to suggest the future directions of the external space plan of apartment type factories by analyzing historical changes of external space structures to date that have occurred in tandem with the arrangement of apartment type factories. This study focuses on the followings: defining and reviewing arrangement forms of the apartment type factories; drawing the structural factors of external space; analyzing historical external space and the courses of transformation through cases.
