요약2	Purpose: With the improvement of the life quality and health care, life expectancy was significantly prolonged and the proportion of elderly is continuously increasing. The universal design becomes more and more important in our lives, not only in the public space, but also in everyone's home. Fortunately, there is a useful guideline for the universal design home by an authoritative organization. This study started in order to identify the characteristics of the universal design guidelines with benefit description. Methods: This paper adopts literature research to analyze characteristics of the universal design guideline, Murtha and Lee's User Benefit Criteria was used. Results: The result of this study can be summarized like that even though this benefit summary is very advantaged, but it is no theoretical proof. Implications: it would provide inspiration for the guideline's values by analyzing the characteristics according to the Murtha and Lee's User Benefit Criteria.
