One of the main controversial issues is that the existing scheduling techniques does not satisfy the scheduling requirements of construction site. Because most construction personnel prefer a good-looking and easy understanding schedule, LOB and TACT techniques although those are not formal CPM technique have been applying overwhelmingly in the construction projects. Moreover, LOB and TACT techniques can be quickly and conveniently established by Excel or word-processor familiar with most people. Since Excel is not a formal scheduling software, however, it can not provide formal CPM scheduling practices.
