In the Christianity, there are a Worldview about the formation of the world and a View of human about the relationship between God-human, human-human. These views have influenced church facilities. Especially, since a monastery has both the chapel and the living space, it would be an appropriate facility to study how those views influenced church facilities. There was almost no change in the monastery building type until Middle Ages, but modern monasteries show many changes, especially, in the living space. So, this study aims for comparing the monasteries of Middle ages and those of modern in therms of living space and finding out the backgrounds of differences investigated. |
