본 연구는 복지사업이나 주민커뮤니티 중심의 기존의 한국형 도시재생 모델과는 크게 상이한 상하이의 도시재생 단지 모델을 중심으로 그 디자인 특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히 재생단지가 가진 과거의 공간적 특성과 조화를 이루며 새롭게 부여한 기능을 성공적으로 통합시키기 위해 적용된 디자인 방법과 특성을 파악하고, 단지 내의 여러 시설물과 내·외부 공간에 적용된 디자인 특성과 내포된 의미체계를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위한 연구 방법으로서는 첫째, 상하이의 주요 도시재생단지 개발 사례를 추출해 이를 대상으로 단지의 형성배 경과 현재 활용상의 특성을 분석하고, 둘째, 현장 조사에 의한 도면자료의 작성과 분석을 통해 주요 디자인 특성을 추출하고, 셋째, 단지별로 지향하고 있는 개념들이 어떠한 표현방식으로 구현되고 있는지 살펴보기 위해 내러티브 개념을 적용하여 종합적으로 분석하였다. |

All existing buildings that form the basis of a city and the surrounding landscape accumulate narrative properties as time passes. The narrative stories of the city and the residents' behavior are constantly influencing the citizens of future generations. Thus, narrative design methods such as sequence control and design language are integrated or harmonized with the lives of residents. Moreover, the images of the city can help residents to comprehend anecdotes connected with the place and interact with physical changes of building shapes when they experience them. In this study, the "narrative urban regeneration method" was proposed for the analysis of the creative urban regeneration in the Shanghai area. Shanghai is one of the most immense trading ports in East Asia as well as the fastest-growing and largest industrial city in China. As it is a place where various different world cultures thrive where important historical monuments such as the modern architecture and industrial heritage that were imported during the western settlement period, have been well preserved. Shanghai is a financial center having many traditional residential quarters, and recently a variety of creative ideas have arisen and have been applied to its urban developments in order to transform the existing urban culture in a unique way. This study was conducted in Shanghai. It includes literary reviews, analysis of the basic drawings and photographs, and research based on field survey data which show how the narrative methods in the design characteristics have been derived from six renovated sites in the Shanghai area. The main result of research was the discovery that creative meaning structures, applied in narrative story formats in the regeneration of traditional resident sites, can be very useful to make a multi-functional creative complex. |
