Since the national division, South and North Korea have increased their political, economic, social, and cultural heterogeneity. It is therefore urgent to prepare comparison, integration, and unification of both countries' industrial system, for they are also very different from each other. This study is purposed to suggest the collaborative governance models that support a stable and sustainable cooperation in industrial sectors and their location of both countries. I explore some areas that South and North Korea can build up an effective governance in industrial comparison, integration, and unification. Then, I analyze how two countries can make it spatially through the collaborative governance models. This study suggests the feasible models of collaborative governance, which include the inter-Korea economic cooperation project model, industrial standards similarity model, disaster aid model, and, China-Russia cooperation model. These models coincide in several industrial sectors such as construction, textile, transportation, and information communication technology. I try to match these industrial sectors with North Korea' industrial location for the reference of future cooperation. With the sufficient strategic supports, these models will produce benefits to both countries, save unification costs, reduce the disorder of industrial integration and unification, and be a meaningful foundation for preparing the national unification. |
