The purpose of this study is to examine operating marina as a multi-cultural space that symbolizes of their area. During recent years in Korea, Korean government has created marinas to develop marine tourism and recreation. For all that utilization of the marina is inefficient. Therefore, this research is based on the data collected from international practices about influence of the cultural use. Marinas require theirs roles should be expanded local sightseeing, educational facilities, social and cultural facilities, marine culture exhibition place as well as to enjoy yachts for marine culture expansion. In oeder to operate marinas as cultural complex center, it is important to prepare running diversity programs planed by expertises, marketing analysis based on investment plan, and besides setting up marketing-oriented organizations to conduct a marina business. To conclude, marina development has been focused on construction of space until now. From now on, the attempts to culture-based vision and strategy for operating a marina that create added value by related professional manpower are compulsory. |
