This study explored the feasibility of shading design in order to minimize the energy consumption and provide optimal daylight-illuminated office space in Yong-in city. Lighting analysis simulation tools were used to compute five alternative shading designs' summer and winter incident solar radiation, and daylight level distributions. Analysis criteria were based on building energy conservation plan, KSA-3011 recommended levels of illumination, suggested daylight factor criteria. The numerical and graphical results were analyzed to be in good agreement with providing outdoor view from indoor and saving energy. Through the varied comparison and analysis, the final shading design was chosen with energy saving prospective goals. |
