요약1	해외 건설산업은 BIM을 통해서 새로운 기술패러다임을 모색하고 있으며 미국의 경우 BIM의 적용은 건설산업의 약 50% 가 BIM 또는 BIM과 관련된 도구를 사용하고 있으며 이는 2년 동안 75%나 증가한 수치이다. 일본의 경우 BIM 도입으로 인해 기존 2D방식으로 작업된 결과물 보다 BIM의 사용으로 똑같은 결과물을 만드는데 40% 의 시간을 줄이는 등 BIM 효과를 충분히 보고 있다. 이는 미국과 일본 뿐만 아니라 전 세계적인 트랜드이다. 미국과 일본 등 해외 건축 선진국을 중심으로 퍼져있는 BIM 확산 추세가 우리나라 건축설계 시장의 BIM 도입을 재촉하 고 있다. 국내·외를 막론하고 건축설계 분야에서 ‘대세’로 자리를 굳히고 있는 BIM은 이제 선택이 아닌 필수항목으로 인식 되고 있다. 또한 국내에서도 조달청이 2012년부터 500억원 이상 공공건축물 턴키·설계 발주에서 BIM 설계를 의무화했다. 현재는 500억원 이상 발주분에서만 BIM을 의무적으로 적용하고 있지만, 오는 2016년부터는 모든 공공설계발주에서 BIM 설계가 도입될 예정이다. 이에 따라 국내 중소규모 설계사무소에서도 건축설계기술 향상과 BIM 도입의 필요성을 느껴 세미나 및 교육을 원하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 중소규모 설계사무소 BIM 도입 및 트레이닝 사례에 대한 소개를 하려고 한다.
