From the late 1950, an apartment was introduced as a kind of one housing type in Korea, afterwards it became starting to provide for the public in 1960s. According to a research, the number of co-housing was 10,426,535, and it was accounted for 71% of the total amount in 2010. In the meanwhile the proportion of the people, who was living in the apartments, was 58.4%. The variation of the planning concept reflects as the variation of the architectural form of the apartment, hence in this research, focus on finding a characteristic of the architectural form in each step after 2000. And then going to compare with preceded research data for assuming the future variation of the apartment. In this research, classify with a apartment block into generations in terms of the architectural plan, and through analysing the compositional form of the each unit generations, thereby determining the form factor of unit composition and analysing variation aspect of the main apartment block and unit after 2000. The usual character of the apartment in Korea could be different from Gwang-ju's condition, however the climate of areas in Korea is quite similar, there were not specific regional characteristic, which could affect space of housing of other areas, except for some specific areas. As a result, there are not huge matter to recognise a Gwang-ju's condition as a usual concept in Korea. |
