Recently, top-down method has been commonly used in urban construction site in order to respond to high-rise, large-scaled downtown building work in a narrow land space and to minimize damage to neighboring buildings. In this top-down method, PRD method is mainly used as cast-in-place pile. PRD method is frequently used as it has an advantage of using relatively small-bore drill and its convenient constructability but its improvement is required as construction cost and risk are increased due to increased length of H-pile that is main material of this method. In this study, improved PRD method that reduced H-pile quantity by using H-pile and rebar in a mixed form instead of existing PRD method that generally uses H-pile only was explored and improvement effect such as requirements to be reflected in design and construction of improved method, construction method, productivity and cost reduction was suggested through site case. |
