On this modern day, people are exposed to trauma such as terror, war, politics, religion and so on, and there is an increase of effort and concern to cure the trauma. As in Korea, the country is divided into North and South due to political ideology, therefore there is an psychological injury trauma from Korean War. Precedence materials were investigated and analyzed for the memorial space to heal the trauma and cherish the memory of a recessed people. The trauma rehabilitation stage can be divided into three: safety, memory and sympathy, and injury. Based on the analysis on the elements and memorial spaces that were carried from trauma, sensible experience and healing characteristic of the period were drawn. The research analyzes characteristics of the memorial space that can heal historical trauma, called Korean War, through sensible experience. Therefore, it proposes an important direction to build sustainable memorial space where everyone can sympathize. |
