In a modern society, Architectural space has not only esthetic and functional meaning but also roles of energy reduction and providing human comfort. Survey about the elements of thermal enviroment of atrium buildings and cooling load. At the same time this survey analyzed energy requirement relation on the orientation and window area ratio based on the same method. In the result of the energy-saving effects analysis First the thermal enviroment characteristics suitable for the south advantageous than the east, west. Secondly , when the area ratio of the window is small , so that the influx of solar radiation consumes less illumination energy. Conversely, if the window area ratio is large is to consume energy to the cooling load is increased by the influx of excessive solar radiation. In the result, it provides for a most ideal window area ratio to 40%. It is the analysis which is the energy-saving effect of the Atrium building. Depending on the atrium of the property , it is only the adjustment of the orientation and the window area ratio , it is difficult to expect the savings of energy. Therefore the future research on energy savings should be continued. |
