Recently, the local governments have been conducting the civic projects for recontracting the old districts and sprawls that were relatively less developed than newer districts. However, most of such projects are being executed without consideration of regional traits, complicating the formation of local communities as well as social, cultural reverberation. In these days, the economic level and social changes are stimulating the demands of the services for the citizens' recreations, cultures, and well-fare. Responding to this, community centers are being required to provide various kinds of service and improve their efficiency. Thus, this study aims to suggest a complex community center as a central place for communication, where inhabitants can easily communicate with each other. This space can not only perform the previously expected functions, but also contribute to the formation of local community through exchange of information as well as various social events. |
