This Study has a purpose for finding and defining the characteristics of the Kinetic Architecture in the works of the Calatrava. The Calatrava's architecture has a similar relationship in terms of the kinetic architecture and being dynamic. The way to analyze this similar relationship more deeply is as follows. First, this architecture nature was drawn by doing the case analysis targeting the Calatrava's works. Second, the components of the kinetic architecture were apprehended through the theoretical consideration of the kinetic architecture to define. Third, the relationship was drawn by applying the components of the kinetic architecture based on the Calatrava's architecture case. Therefore, the result of this study is as follows. First of all, It could be found that the Calatrava intentionally created a deformation element as a dynamic structure by his architecture derives a design from organic forms of nature in the examples of his works. Also, it was understood that the characteristics of the Kinetic Architecture could be largely divided into technical and spatial elements. Therefore, these analysis made it clear that the architecture of the Calatrava is based on the characteristics of the Kinetic Architecture. |
