Aalto thought of architecture not as a space that meets a fixed function but as an aggregation of small realms based on various activities of users. Aalto placed a delicate attention on the body and various physical senses of them. For the clear understanding of Aalto's idea about 'individuality and collectivity', this study compares it with those of Aldo Van Eyck and Louis Kahn.
