In general, PC (precast concrete) method has been preferred owing to the reduced construction period, quality assurance and cost reduction. However, when it comes to the in-plant production of precast concrete members, there are several problems arising from the transport from the plant to the site, including transport conditions, damages and increased transport expenses. In addition, the transport expenses and O&P (overhead and profit) can be reduced when PC members are produced at site compared with the those of in-plant production, only 75~77% of the plant production cost, 7~10% of the transport expenses, 15~17% of the installation cost and 10~15% of the OP. Currently, there are no detailed studies on in-situ production of PC members, so it is necessary to conduct studies on production processes and layouts. Thus, the study herein is aimed for a basic study of process and layout for in-situ production of PC members. The study result can be used to establish a detailed procedure and draw the production layout area for in-situ production of PC members. Furthermore, the efficiency of in-situ production of PC members can be verified by comparing with the productivity of in-plant production. |
