In this study, we examined the current status and potential future improvements of silver care facilities through the site surveys as well as the interviews with the staffs who are responsible for the operational management of the chosen elderly care facilities in Daejeon, Korea. Selected target facilities belong to the long-term care institutions and showed typical features and characteristics in terms of their primary spatial features and operational details including legal restrictions imposed upon similar facilities in the nation.
