As the society develops and goes through industrialization and urbanization, in the process of reckless development of big-sized new towns, the decline of old downtown areas has worsened as the social structure has changed with population stagnat and aging, the physical environments of cities have become retarded, traffic has become congested and the environment has been polluted. Their unique and old spatial values as the base of residents' life and the support for the local economy are being neglected, and their historical and cultural values are gradually disappearing. In this study, with the construction project of Nalmoegol old roads in old Segu formed around Dalseong Toseong of Daegu City, the design plans for the alleies were proposed in which citizens can participate as a part of urban regeneration project in order to develop local tourist attractions to promote regions by forming alleies with happy stories making the best of local characteristics, improving sceneries and providing spectacles. |
