(연구배경 및 목적) 어린이에게 놀이는 생활 중에서 가장 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 어린이는 놀이를 통해 신체적 정서적 성장을 이루어 나간다. 하지만 현재 어린이 놀이터는 획일화된 놀이 시설로 인해 어린이들의 상상력과 창의력 증진에 상당한 어려움이 있으므로 어린이의 놀이 특성을 적용한 실외 놀이공간이 필요하다. (연구방법) 본 연구는 어린이 놀이의 개념과 놀이 특성, 놀이터의 기본 조건과 역할, 그 유형을 살펴보고 국내와 해외에 설치되어 있는 어린이 놀이터를 조사·분석 하였다. 사례를 분석한 결과 국내 어린이 놀이터에는 다양한 색과 체험적인 요소가 많은 반면 해외 놀이터에서는 상징적인 형태와 어린이들의 창의력을 높여주는 요소를 더 중요시 하는 것을 볼 수 있다. (결과) 어린이들은 자유로운 활동으로 인한 신체적, 정서적, 사회적 발달과 상상력, 창의력 증진에 도움이 되는 공간이 필요하다. 기존의 정형화된 놀이 시설에서 벗어나 어린이의 놀이 특징을 적용한 놀이 공간을 제공해줌으로써 안전하고 쾌적한 공간에서 올바른 배움과 다양한 체험을 할 수 있도록 더욱 발전되어야 할 것이다. |

(Background and Purpose) Play is the most important part of children's lives. They develop both physically and emotionally through play. However, children's playgrounds currently have uniform facilities that make it hard for kids to develop their imagination and creativity; therefore, outdoor playgrounds where features of children's play are adopted, are needed. (Method) This study has researched the concept and features of children's play, along with the basic conditions, roles, and types of playgrounds, and then investigated and analyzed playgrounds in Korea and overseas. The case study showed that Korean playgrounds have many different elements and various colors, while those in foreign countries are a step ahead with regard to creativity-raising elements. (Results) Children need a place to develop their physical, emotional, and social skills as well as their imagination and creativity through free activities. It is necessary to depart from the stereotypical play facilities, and offer children a place where the important aspects of children's play are adopted so they can have a wider experience and learn properly in a safe, pleasant environment. |
