(연구배경 및 목적)디자인 산업화 시대에 우리는 대량생산, 대량소비 문화와 그 흐름을 같이 하고 있다. 의미 없는 대량생산, 대량소비의 시대를 넘어서고자 하는 지속가능한 디자인에 기초한 디자인의 성질은, 인류 환경의 오염과 자연고갈의 위협 속에서 삶의 공간을 추구해야하며 스스로 자생하고, 주위환경 변화에 능동적으로 대처하는 미래의 지속가능한 삶을 위한 근본적인 개념으로 고려되어야 한다. 합리성, 비용 및 시간절약을 위해 세계적으로 기능성 모듈시스템을 컨벤션 전시장에서 다양하게 활용하고 있다. 하지만, 대량생산된 모듈시스템은 형태 및 규격에 제한이 많아 다양한 디자인의 구현이 어렵다. 그래서 많은 비용을 투자하여 목재중심의 일회성 디자인을 연출하며 기업에서는 인간에게 유용한 무언가를 만들기 위해서는 어느 정도 환경을 파괴시키고 훼손하는 것을 당연하게 여기고 있다. 일회성 디자인은 짧은 기간 동안 사용되다가 전시가 끝난 후 매립, 소각으로 폐기처분된다. 기존의 대량의 생산 및 소비위주의 경제성장을 했다면, 미래에는 환경 친화적으로 전환해 가는 지속가능한 트렌드의 연구가 요구된다. (연구방법)이에 본 논문에서는 지속적인 컨벤션 전시공간에 대한 고민으로 단순한 재활용이나 그린디자인의 차원을 넘어, 사회, 환경, 경제적 가치를 통합한 여러 가지 전략으로 연구하여, 컨벤션 전시장에서의 지속가능한 트렌드의 패러다임 변화에 따른 지속가능한 전시방향을 연구한다. 또한 현대의 공간을 자연적으로 주어진 요인들에 의존하는 자연적 존재로 보거나, 공간을 실체론적 표상으로 보는 사고를, 보다 문화적 맥락적 차원과 관련된 공간의 차원에서 모색하고자 한다. (연구결과)지속적인 컨벤션 전시공간의 사용가능성을 규명하기 위한 방법과 개선방안의 도출로 정치, 경제, 사회ㆍ문화, 과학ㆍ기술 등의 트렌드 형성에 영향을 끼치는 환경요인을 분석하고 통합하여 컨벤션 전시공간의 특성에 따라 적용할 수 있도록 구분하였다. 지속적인 컨벤션 전시공간의 사용가능성 향상을 위한 방법으로 ①환경규제의 강화, ②기능의 다양성, ③소재의 친환경성, ④공간의 이동성이 있다. 이를 통해 지속가능한 트렌드에 대한 전시유형 방법으로 컨벤션 의 전시디자인은 현재 직면한 과제에 대한 외연 확장과 다양한 방법의 융합으로 지속가능성의 발전과 문제해결의 단초를 제공할 것이다. (연구결론)전시공간의 패러다임 변화에 따른 지속가능한 전시방법을 통해 일회성 전시디자인으로 인한 환경오염 및 자원고갈의 위협에서 벗어나, 전시공간의 향후 직면할 환경, 기술, 사회, 문화적 트렌드의 변화로 다양한 전시방법의 촉진과 함께 미래의 지속가능한 트렌드의 비전을 기대한다. 또한 거시적 트렌드로 친환경에 기초한 비 물리적 가치 공간으로의 변화는 전시공간의 패러다임은 지속가능한 미래 전시디자인 발전의 중요한 트렌드로 나타날 것이다. |

(Background and Purpose)In a world that has experienced design industrialization, we now follow a stream of mass production and consumption trends. The nature of the design works, based on sustainable designs, should be considered a fundamental element for sustainable life in the future, in the pursuit of pleasant living spaces in a polluted and exhausted ecosystem. The space should be self-generated, and actively cope with changing circumstances. A functional modular system is utilized in diverse ways in conventions and exhibitions, not only to save on costs and time, but also to pursue efficiency. However, as the forms and standards of mass-produced modular systems are limited, materializing its design is complicated. Therefore, one-time designs have been produced, and are primarily made of wood, which requires substantial investment costs. Further, large companies have considered that environmental destruction is inevitable to a certain extent in creating something necessary to human beings. These singular design pieces are typically utilized only for a short period until the exhibition is over, and are then disposed. Although we have experienced economic growth that is typically based on mass production and consumption, future trends will be based on an eco-friendly and sustainable economy. Therefore, deeper research is required regarding these matters. (Method)Therefore, this paper studies sustainable spaces in convention exhibitions. It not only mentions the simple recycling or green design methods, but also addresses collective strategies, including social, environmental, and economic values, and examines sustainable exhibitions that can easily adjust to paradigm changes. Further, the study does not attempt to view modern space as a natural being that highly depends on given factors, nor does it consider it a symbol for existentialism. This study instead defines the space in a cultural context. (Results)The study investigates the available and sustainable spaces in convention exhibitions and draws conclusions based on an analysis of environmental factors that influence the formation of political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, and technological trends. The results were also analyzed, consolidated, and categorized according to their characteristics for application in different exhibition spaces. The methods used to promote a sustainable environment in the exhibition space are ① tightened environmental regulations, ②diverse functions, ③ materials' environmental performance, and ④ the space's mobility. These methods delineate the exhibition's available and sustainable spaces, and the convention's exhibition design will provide the key to the problems we face by converging diverse methods and an external extension. (Conclusions)We can avoid the risk of environmental pollution and resource depletion by experimenting with sustainable display methods that reflect paradigm changes in the exhibition space. We expect a positive outlook for future sustainable trends with diverse display methods. This change in trends, which perceive the space as a non-physical space based on eco-friendly values, will initiate the development of future sustainable exhibition designs. |
