A purpose of this study is to investigate the behavior and the preference of residential people for government buildings, the Chungnam provincial office, to understand its problems and to offer for resolving method. The survey method is applied for this study and its survey sheets of 253 residential people are analyzed. The analysis results are as follows: The first, the research target is mainly female, 50s, and housewife who use provincial building 2 or 3 times a week by their car. The second, the degree of satisfaction for government buildings is highest at the outdoor space such as landscaping. The third, the degree of satisfaction of women at the B1 and the 1'st floor of main building is higher than that of men and there is no correlation between age and occupation. The forth, the strong point of this building is large and pleasant space, and the week point is small parking lot and difficulty to find the place for their business. The fifth, preferred cultural facilities for citizens in this buildings, especially B1, is the function expandable to the artistic access including the performance hall and the exhibition hall. For the first floor of the same building, the function to firm a regional identity including the information room, the public information center, and the sales hall is preferred. The sixth, the residential people participating this survey want modern style, environment friendly style, natural style, in order, for their desirable government buildings. The last, in order to construct a future government buildings, the cultural facilities for interaction and communication between the residential people must be considered. |
