As a result, school facilities in major countries of the world are being transformed due to changes in perception as a space for performing important functions for personality development. The purpose of this study is to investigate the function and role of emotional space by analyzing characteristics of biophilic interior design of educational spaces in Europe. Therefore, the paper suggests the direction of emotional space design that can act as a positive factor in the development of child's personality. In this study, the characteristics of biophillic interior design based on the theoretical review and precedents of biophilic design environment that positively affects child development will be discussed. Therefore, the research investigates the external connectivity, the program, and the spatial composition of the educational space and extracts the environmental elements and biophilic design elements that help the psychological development of children and adolescents and uses them for the design analysis of the European school space.
