During the industrialization and economic period, urban growth supplied housing to rapidly expanding urban populations. It also focused on providing the necessary places for activities such as business, commerce, and industry. However, the expansion of the city has been in decline due to the economic and industrial downturn in the region, the decline in population, and the deterioration of the residential environment. The recent decline of the Korean cities is also happening quickly. Urban regeneration is to revitalize cities that have declined due to changes in the industrial structure, such as by adding new functions. It has occurred mainly in developed country cities that have been devastated by war since World War II. Recently, in Korea, urban regeneration is emerging as a core task in the field of land transportation to solve the urban decline phenomenon. However, there is a lack of research on the spatial changes and decline of urban decline until it is designated as urban regeneration area. Therefore, in this study, we will grasp the spatial change centered on the city regeneration area in Seoul among the urban regeneration areas. In addition, this study will be used as basic data for the urban regeneration project plan that matches the characteristics of the region. |
