This study suggests an urban - type hotel as a cultural space and analyzes program and interior space of an urban - type complex resort hotel that enjoys local residents including general tourists and family travelers. Despite changing customer needs, today's urban resort hotels are still the first generation. It consists of existing foreign-only casinos that operate only casino facilities and hotel supplement programs. In this study, we want to analyze program and interior space in order to develop into a third generation urban resort hotel. As a research method, we compare the case of the third generation urban resort with the case of overseas and domestic, 30km away from the city center. As a result, one of the best hotels in modern Korea was able to see simple accommodation, casino facilities and first generation for guest convenience. However, it can be seen that overseas cases have been operating as third-generation urban resort hotels for a long time. In addition to casinos, there are MICE facilities such as convention and exhibition facilities, shopping and food facilities, family theme parks, art galleries, museums and leisure complexes. Therefore, program rates of overseas resort hotels should be integrated into domestic resort hotels and reflected in design. In order to change the spatial composition according to the third generation program, it is necessary to reconstruct the existing facilities of the domestic resort hotel. |
