요약2	The purpose of this study is to classify the potential seismic damage and failure mechanisms of light-frame nonstructural partition walls. Based on experimental studies performed by other researchers, seismic damage mechanisms are defined and classified as: damage to gypsum-to-stud/runner connections, damage to runner-to-concrete connections, cracks an detachment of gypsum boards at corners and buckling of studs. Also, this paper introduces various details that were suggested to prevent the seismic damage of the gypsum-to-stud/runner connections adversely affecting the seismic performance of a light-frame nonstructural partition wall. The introduction of such seismic details to domestic commercial nonstructural partition walls is needed for future improvement of their seismic performance.
