This paper focuses on the visual features of Tadao Ando 's representative works, which are characterized by the external space exposed in the Museum SAN and the physical properties surrounding it. Museum SAN is located in the middle of the Oak Valley, and is a representative art museum of Ando Tadao. He is an architect who has already reinforced his own way of expressing architectural language through geometric space composition, light, and material through various previous works. The interior of the Museum SAN also boasts its typical interior spatial composition and its features. Through physical experience in the outer space of the museum mountain, we experience nature in various ways. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between the physical properties of the material and the gaze at the entrance of the museum before entering the main building. Through this, it is possible to promote a wide understanding of Ando's architectural philosophy from the perspective of external space. |
